Matt Tebbutt

Matt Tebbutt honed his culinary skills under esteemed chefs, including Marco Pierre White at the Oak Room and Criterion, and Alastair Little, whom he cites as a significant influence on his cuisine. He also gained experience at renowned establishments such as Chez Bruce and Clarke’s, where he learned the art of bread-making.

Together with his wife, Lisa, Tebbutt owned and operated The Foxhunter restaurant in Nant-y-derry, Monmouthshire, for 15 years. The establishment garnered several accolades, including the AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales. In 2014, he decided to lease the restaurant as a pub to focus on his burgeoning television career.

Tebbutt has authored several cookbooks, including "Cooks Country: Modern British Rural Cooking" (2008) and "Matt Tebbutt's Guilty Pleasures." In August 2024, he released "Matt Tebbutt's Pub Food," reflecting his passion for traditional British cuisine.
