Hortense Laborie is an acclaimed chef living in the Périgord region of France, where she raised geese for foie gras and cooked the recipes passed down to her by her mother and grandmother. She is astonished when the Président de la République appoints her to be his personal chef in the Palais de l'Élysée, but in the corridors of power, many obstacles are hiding.
