Seán Keane

Seán Keane, possessor of one of Ireland’s most distinctive voices, returns for the fourth consecutive summer for what will no doubt be yet another sold-out concert. He will again be joined by Pat Coyne on guitar and Fergus Feely on mandocello.

2020 marks Seán’s 40th year as a musician. Over his long and illustrious career he has released eleven solo albums, three compilations and two DVDs. In 2018 he recorded a twelve-track album with the RTE Concert Orchestra.

Although heavily influenced by traditional styles and values, Seán cannot be categorised simply as a traditional singer. Whether the songs are traditional, folk, country or blues, he applies a unique voice and unforgettable individual style.

Ballymaloe Grainstore audiences will be treated to Seán’s classic songs such as Isle of Hope Isle of Tears, From Galway to Gracelands, No Stranger to the Rain as well as new ones.

He embarks on a major tour in 2020 that will include Austria, England, Scotland, Germany, France and Belgium – and Shanagarry!
